DE—Discipleship Encounter—is a 15 week intensive discipleship program aimed at taking today's youth deeper in their relationships with Jesus Christ. Justin & Melissa Graham, youth pastors at Central Parkway Church of God in Cincinnati, Ohio, wanted to create something that wouldn't just sound good, but it would look good and feel good—teaching and walking in true discipleship with and for Christ. Melissa began writing the program over 5 years ago and it has revolutionized the youth ministry, as well as the whole ministry at Central Parkway. "In todays generation I believe that God is training up a mighty army of young men and women to fight for His truth in a dark and perverse world. Young people who are passionate about loving their savior and saving their world; the only way to really have this kind of love and passion is to truly know Christ, in a personal way. Knowing Christ is so much more than just going to church, joining fun youth trips and attending bible studies, it is a daily walk that must be followed with a life that is totally surrendered to Jesus Christ. Salvation is just the beginning but how do you grow in your walk with Christ from there? It is the journey of growth wherein lies the true fulfillment in our Savior and our relationship with Him.
