Kootenai White Sturgeon: Agencies Collaborate to Save North America's Largest Freshwater Fish Video Clips. Duration : 5.40 Mins.
Armed with passion, science and urgency, state and federal agencies and the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho are working to recover the endangered white sturgeon. The white sturgeon, third largest of the prehistoric species and known to reach nearly 1800 pounds and 20 feet long, is on a path to extinction in the Kootenai River unless recovery efforts gain momentum. The partners hope that improvements to habitat and river conditions will encourage successful spawning.

1970-72 Oldsmobile Ads and brochure pages along with some factory photos, a couple of factory sponsored drag cars, and a few magazine photos from these years where you will notice the Michigan plates dated 70-72. As with our 64-69 Olds ad video I can now spot at least two ads that were mistakenly left out: A variant of the blue 71 Vista Cruiser and an alternate red 72 Cutlass S from Ebony magazine. Regretfully some ads or pictures are lost or overlooked in shuffle from the photography to the uploading. The closing shots shows John Beltz who was Oldsmobile's chief engineer in 1964 and one of the prime movers of the Toronado project. Beltz was promoted to Oldsmobile general manager in 1969 when Harold N. Metzel retired. Beltz passed away in 1972 from cancer. According to legend John Beltz and his staff led Oldsmobile through undoubtedly its best years and the Oldsmobiles from 1949 to 72 define Olds as the Rocket division of GM. Beltz is posing with some experimental Olds engines mostly different 455 versions that never saw production. Here are descriptions of these engines not neccesarily in the order of appearance: 1. The 0W-43 all aluminum 455 with 4 valve per cylinders, four overhead cam Weber engine. With a redline of just under 8500rpm it was originally conceived for CAN AM racing. At 3000rpm it put out 300hp and at 6000rpm registered over 600hp. The top output recorded for this engine in the Lansing dyno facility was 700 real hp at 6800rpm. Tests were run with both ...
STALKER easy money Video Clips. Duration : 4.17 Mins.
Easy way to earn money early in both Clear Sky and Shadow of Chernobyl. Dont just rush in like i did there in the start, i messed up. wait for the evening dark to cover you or duck behind trees on your way in. 1: Go to the military base with only the things you realy need, if your using a 5.45 ammo rifle dont bring more then 200 bullets - you can easily replenish from the solider guys rifles and corpses. 2: The trick is to use the sandbags and wall things - the soldiers will always return to that wide open space behind them so if you dodge the grenades they might throw(more chernobyl then clear sky) its a pretty safe place to take them out one by one. 3: Weapons. You either need a very acurate one... Or a real auto one. The Viper works well, so do most of the guns later in the game. Personal i preffer the AC96/2 since it uses the same ammo as the soldiers and is fairly acurate/auto to get things done during these raids - and you get it by killing these guys. Its also probably the best rifle your going to have for a while anyway. 4: Corpses and unlooted stuff. Anything you cant carry with you and the corpses should be stacked to the sides of the base where you whont get them mixed up with new things if you do return trips. After 3-4 trips theres quite alot of junk around. 5: Your here for the 5.45 ammo, AC96/8 rifles and Army-Medkits. Dont pick up anything else, you will only waste space and time taking grenades or guns with you. Once you get the hang of how to do it, its ...

UNICEF finds a "heart of gold" in child advocate Clay Aiken Video Clips. Duration : 3.43 Mins.
PLEASE READ (thanks) Not many people outside of Clay's fan base know of his ongoing inspirational work with UNICEF. Many people just know the "Clay Aiken" they hear about in unscrupulous tabloid articles and in jokes made by comedians. Yet, despite all that he has had to endure, Clay Aiken has risen above the rumors and innuendos. Recently, this amazing man with a "heart of gold" has finally found incredible happiness and joy with the birth of his first child - a son named Parker. The love and joy that he has shared with countless children around the world with his work for UNICEF has finally found its way into his own private life. Just over five years ago, Clay pledged on the American Idol stage to make a difference in the lives of others. He has far surpassed all expectations and given new meaning to the concept of an "American Idol". Cheers to this man with the "heart of gold" and may each new day with Parker bring him the happiness and joy that he has so unselfishly shared with countless others. May he also be granted the privacy that he has earned and so rightfully deserves to enjoy this special and wondrous time with his brand new family. -------- CLAY AIKEN'S INSPIRATIONAL WORK WITH UNICEF! Soon after Clay Aiken finished his time with American Idol, UNICEF noticed much of the charitable work that Clay was involving himself in. They named him a UNICEF Ambassador in 2004. WikiLeaks_ New Evidence of Sri Lankan War Crimes Revealed.flv Video Clips. Duration : 4.07 Mins.
hit by mass murder allegations--Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa's intended visit to the Oxford Union was cancelled citing security concerns as the reason. The real reason for the cancellation was the publication of material in the British media that would be used as evidence in an international court of law for Rajapaksa's war crimes and crimes against humanity. Rajapaksa, as commander-in-chief of the armed forces is responsible for the actions of the military during the war such as killing surrendering combatants, raping Tamil women and children, bombing hospitals, using cluster bombs and many other crimes. The UK experience is a humiliation of untold proportions for the President who will be embarrassed when he faces the press in Sri Lanka on his return. Moreover the Thames Valley Police was not prepared to waste British tax payers' monies on a war criminal for his security. It is understood India gave a helping hand in securing from the Sri Lankan army high command damning evidence of war crimes that were published in the British media. India feels betrayed because of Sri Lanka's closeness to China. million dollars spent by Sri Lanka on PR firm Bell Pottinger is a waste of public funds. Lord Pottinger who is the Chairman of the parent company of the PR firm brings disrepute to the House of Lords because of his association with an alleged war criminal. The British public will be against Lords who use their position or rather abuse their position and associate with ...
HM King Chulalongkorn RAMA V the Great of Siam [ Thailand ] Tube. Duration : 12.75 Mins.
KING CHULALONGKORN [ RAMA V ] 1868 -1910 Also known as Phra Chula Chomklao Chaoyuhua, and the eldest son of King Rama IV, he was born in Bangkok on September 20, 1853 and was crowned King on October 1, 1868, following the death of his father. The first few years of his reign were under a regency. King Chulalongkorn is perhaps the most revered of all the Chakri Kings--during his long reign of 42 years 23 days great advances were achieved for the country. The King actively pursued a policy of "modernizing" the country and had a number of Europeans in his service to oversee such projects as the building of the first railway in Thailand. He himself made two visits to Europe, one in 1897 and another in 1907, during which he became acquainted with most of the rulers of Europe. Bonds of friendship between himself and the various European royal families were formed which exist to the present day. Not only was he the first Thai king to travel abroad [ he made several visits to the Straits Settlements, the Malay States and the Dutch East Indies ] but he also sent his sons to study in Europe [ to school in England and later for military training to Denmark, Germany and Russia ]. He successfully managed to cultivate the idea of Siam as a buffer state between the colonial possessions of the European powers in South-East Asia. The price he paid of losing certain border territories was amply rewarded, for Siam was never colonized - the only country in the region to maintain its ...

USAF X-20 Dyna-Soar Testing; Part 2 of 4 Video Clips. Duration : 10.52 Mins.
www.amazon.com "Dyna-Soar: Hypersonic Strategic Weapons System" compiled by archives & edited by Robert Godwin; Apogee Books, Ontario, Canada, 2003 Originally proposed in 1934 by an Austrian engineer by the name of Eugen Sänger, it had the potential to be the ultimate super-weapon. Sänger's design soon found its way into the hands of the Nazi regime in Germany where it was refined at the Goring Institute. In 1952 Walter Dornberger, a one-time German army general who had run the rocket program at the infamous Peenemünde facility, sent an unsolicited proposal to the Air Force on behalf of the Bell Aircraft Company. Dornberger saw that Sänger's idea was still valid and that current technology was catching up with the concept. In 1954 the United States Air Force and the Bell Aircraft Company arranged a contract for the study of an advanced, bomber-reconnaissance weapon system. By June 1959 the whole idea had been dropped in the lap of the Boeing company who had spent millions on research in their bid to win the coveted contract. The new vehicle was to be called Dyna-Soar, a catchy abbreviation which stood for Dynamic Soarer. This new vehicle would be able to be dispatched to anywhere on Earth in a matter of hours and would provide the long-range radar systems of the time only a three minute warning of its impending arrival. It was a Space Shuttle with a mission - to drop a weapon payload anywhere on Earth and to do so while approaching its target at hypersonic velocity ...

Entry from: Georgetown, Guyana Entry Title: "Kaieteur Falls; Oh my God!" Entry: "Els writes: Having spent a few days in Georgetown we were ready for a spot more jungle. As it is impossible to visit the Falls under your own steam, we booked a 5-day overland tour, leaving on Monday, 19th October. We were picked up at 6.30 am and spent day one in a by now familiar way: cramped on the back seat of a jeep driven by Frank, the owner of Rainforest Tours, for 8 hours. In the front was Kurt, our 22 year old personal guide, in the back with us was Richard, a Creole friend of Frank, who would drive Frank back home once we had been delivered to our boat. At 10.30 we stopped at a roadside shack for 'lunch'. We thought they were joking and meant elevenses, but they were serious, there was no other break until dinner in the evening! The menu included 'wild meat', which was the 'hay'', the very creature that is regarded as a rare delicacy in Suriname. Here it was just one of those things you can eat, no big deal. As we did not want to add to the decline in Guyana's fauna we had chicken, there seemed to be plenty of those. After a few hours we turned off towards Madhia - or we would have ended up in Brazil! After Madhia the rest of the trip would be by boat and on foot. However, to get to the Potaro river we ...

It was a key element of a planned strategic railway that was to start in Neuss, cross the Rhine at Remagen and connect with the Ahr Valley railway that connected with the Eiffel railway that has lines into Luxembourg and France. The advantage of such a line was that troops and supplies could be transported to the Western Front from the Ruhr industrial area without having to go through the busy rail centres of Cologne or Düsseldorf. However, by the time World War I ended, the line between Neuss and Remagen had not been completed and never was. This is also the reason why the bridge at Remagen was not rebuilt after World War II. Designed by Karl Wiener, it was 325 meters long, with two rail lines and a walkway. It was one of three bridges built to improve rail links between Germany and France during World War I, the other two being the Hindenburg Bridge at Bingen and Urmitz Bridge near Koblenz. This was one of the four bridges guarded during the Third United States Army occupation at the end of World War I. The bridge ...

Pratighat(1987)Kiski zingagi hai yeh? Video Clips. Duration : 8.18 Mins.
en.wikipedia.org The 1973 New York City bomb plot was a plan by the Palestinian militant group Black September to detonate three car bombs in New York City at the same time Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir arrived there in March 1973.Planning On January 12, 1973, Khalid Duhham Al-Jawary, described in a federal warrant as a 27-year old Iraqi linked to Black September[2] but self-described as a Palestinian who grew up in Jordan,[1] flew through Montreal to Boston, and then on to New York City. On January 17 the FBI, acting on a tip received in Tel Aviv, interviewed Al-Jawary about his activities. Al-Jawary claimed to be in flight training at Teterboro Airport, and would leave a month to become a commercial pilot in the Mideast. During his time in New York, Al-Jawary became friendly with a woman named Carol, and used trips to Manhattan with her son Todd in order to reconnoiter targets without arousing suspicion. Car bombs Just days after the Khartoum killings, around March 4, 1973, Al-Jawary took three rented cars rigged with explosives and placed them around various Israeli targets in the city; one at Fifth Avenue and 47th Street at the First Israel Bank and Trust company, another at Fifth Avenue and 43rd Street at an Israel Discount Bank, and a third at El-Al's cargo terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Black September Organization (Arabic: منظمة أيلول الأسود, munazzamat aylul al-aswad) was a Palestinian militant group (against civilians and other non ...
Steam Specials In The Heartland DVD Video Clips. Duration : 3.60 Mins.
Steam Specials In The Heartland - a DVD from Yard Goat Images Three exciting chapters featuring four steam locomotives operating on special excursions: Union Pacific 3985 & The Missouri River Eagle - in September and October, 2010, UP brought out the largest operating steam locomotive in the world, Challenger 3985, to pull a train called The Missouri River Eagle. Our story of this one-time special starts in North Platte, Nebraska, the home of UP's giant Bailey Yard. We present the special as it makes its way across the Heartland as far east as St. Louis, Missouri, with major stops in Marysville, KS, Kansas City, MO, Jefferson City, MO, and Sedalia, MO before returning to North Platte. One of the main events was helping Sedalia celebrate the town's 150th anniversary. You will enjoy incredible trackside action as the mighty 4-6-6-4 roars across three states. See close up views as the locomotive moves slowly past our cameras, the engine being serviced, and some of the great sights along the way. Milwaukee Road 261 To Duluth - after its first restoration to operating condition, we enjoyed accompanying 261 during its 15-year string of excursions starting in 1993. Most of those years it pulled a two-day Spring Special from the Twin Cities to Duluth, MN. In this feature we present highlights from a number of those trips and arrange them to illustrate what a weekend ride with the 4-8-4 Northern was like. We even show scenes from a rare trip 261 made on the North Shore Scenic line ...

Interview with Donald G. Martin, WWII veteran. CCSU Veterans History Project Video Clips. Duration : 99.30 Mins.
Interview conducted by Vincent Roche. Donald Martin was drafted into the US Navy in the spring of 1944. He went to Bainbridge, MD for basic training, and then received an addition 12 weeks of specialized training as a navy hospital corpsman. His first job was in the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD where he worked in the venereal disease ward. After about 8 weeks of hospital duty, he was reassigned overseas to Tinian Island. He was assigned to the Navy Military Hospital #204 where he was promoted to a Pharmacist's Mate 3rd class. The hospital was relatively small, although it was well supplied. This hospital was specifically for Japanese and Korean civilians on Tinian Island, and many of the doctors and nurses in the hospital were Japanese citizens. Although, the war was declared over, Martin was stationed on the island until May of 1946. He was discharged as a Pharmacist's Mate 2nd class by the end of May 1946. He then returned to Penn State to continue his studies as an industrial engineer, at which time he also joined a reserve unit, which he notes was an extremely inactive unit. After graduation he was working in Detroit at the Ingersoll Rand Company, when he was called to report for duty in Sept. 1950. When he reported for duty he was instead inducted into the Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant, and went to Field Medical Service School at Camp Lejeune for eight weeks of training. By December of 1950, Martin was in Korea and assigned to the Charlie Medical unit, part of ...
